The West Johnston Band was 1 of only 5 high school bands
from throughout the United States that
performed in the 2008 Macy's Parade and was the first
band in the history of Johnston County to receive this
prestigious honor. Currently ranked 15th in the nation,
our students have earned the privilege of representing
our state, county, and school system at the 2005
Presidential Inaugural Parade, the Main Street America
Parade at Walt Disney World, and now at the 2008 Macy's
Thanksgiving Day Parade as well. They demonstrate
commitment, hard work and dedication to excellence not
only in school, performance, and rehearsal, but also in
life each day. They are shining examples of all that is
good in our nation's youth.
Thank you to our
Mile Marker Sponsors!
Words can not express the emotions we
all share about our incredible week in New York.
Without all of our sponsors, Macy's would not have
happened for our students.
They were a part of something very magical that will
remain in our kids hearts and minds forever. This
once-in-a-lifetime experience will live on through them
for years to come.
